My favorite part of this song is, “He knows what is within the darkness, and all the light there is dwells with Him.” When I sing that, my spirit soars with the Truth and I feel that I am touching on something infinitely sacred and beyond comprehension. This song was written during a time of great stress. It is a “walking around Jericho” song, sung to God before the walls came crashing down and victory was manifested.

Let The Name Of God Be Blessed

Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever
For wisdom and power belong to Him, to Him
For He is the One who establishes kings and removes them
For He is the One who changes the times and the seasons

The Lord gives wisdom to the wise
And knowledge to men who understand
He reveals all that is profound
The deep and the secret things

He knows what is within the darkness
And all the light there is dwells with Him
To You, oh God, of my fathers, I give thanks and praise
For you have given me wisdom and power, I will bless Your name

There is a God in heaven
Who reveals mysteries
Let the name of our God be blessed
Forever and ever

This is my love song to Jesus.  The words are from the Song of Songs because they so perfectly describe my feelings of devotion to the Lord.  This is a very prophetic song and it has many layers of meaning.  Every time I sing it, the deeper meanings become clearer to me.  My prayer is that, as you grow in the Lord, the meanings of this song will become clearer and clearer to you as well, and that you will sing it to Jesus as your love song too.

My Beloved Is Mine

My Beloved is mine and I am His
His love is sweeter than wine
His Name is like oil, purified
In His shade I sit down and delight

His fruit is so lovely and sweet to my taste
His banner o’er me is love
His mouth is so full of sweetness
He is greatly to be desired

Many waters cannot quench His love
Nor shall the mighty rivers overflow
This is my Beloved and this is my Friend
Oh daughters of Jerusalem

Listen, my Beloved He comes
Climbing the mountains, leaping on the hills
Arise my darling and come away
His desire is for me

Make haste my Beloved, my Beautiful One
Draw me after You, together we shall run
Who is this leaning on her Lord?
Oh draw me after You
